WHAT : The PERRY KURTZ Multimedia Comedy Experience

"Perry Kurtz is VERY unusual. Before he speaks a word, there are four minutes of continuous laughter. He possesses the `boy-next-door' quality, like Dana Carvey and Kevin Pollack, that makes you laugh at/with him. Every show is as unique as he is. Outrageous, strange, yet extremely likable, Perry Kurtz is a performer who MUST be seen to be believed."
San Francisco Calendar Magazine

Perry Kurtz is an international multi-media comedy performance artist. He combines dance (his `Comic-Strip Parody'), sound effects, video (his hysterical Love Connection appearance), traditional stand up, audience participation, improvisation, music, and much more to provide a rich, one-of-a-kind, always different, entertainment experience.

Perry's Biography Leaving a very lucrative, yet very boring career as the art director (his first life goal) at a publishing house just outside Philadelphia, his hometown, Perry moved to San Francisco in 1979 to pursue a career in comedy (his second life goal). His first paying "gig" was as the emcee, dancer, and manager of The Off Broadway Male Burlesque Club on Broadway in the North Beach part of town. In 1983, he began touring the country working the comedy club circuit while maintaining a small apartment on Haight Street near Ashbury.

Moving to Los Angeles in 1990, he became a regular at The Comedy Store in Hollywood and Dangerfields in New York while headlining comedy clubs across the U.S. and Canada. He has appeared on The Good Time Cafe on The A and E Network, Stand Up Stand Up on Comedy Central, HBO, America's Funniest People, won on The New Extreme Gong Show and The Love Connection. He was also a weekly caller to The Howard Stern Show as Dr. Ruth. Now "married with 4 children (a new baby girl born on Nov. 8th 2004)", he continues to work as a writer for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, voice-over actor, comedian, comedy instructor and consultant.

Perry has opened for Rick Overton, Sam Kinison, Robin Williams, The Blue Oyster Cult, and has sung his "Narrational Improv Blues", based purely on what the audience is doing as it happens, with The Allman Brothers Band, The Tubes, Huey Lewis and The News, WAR, Mick Fleetwood, and Sammy Hagar.
